A little late for April Fool's day, but the ides are killers.
I was having some fun twittering about the #giveaway at MagicMelee.com (which ends at midnight tonight) when I got the word about the explosions at the Boston Marathon finish line. Saw this and got really upset:

Responding with shock, I tweeted a little too much combining #BostonMarathon with Magic Mêlée™ PR and suffered a 1 hour Twitter ban. Good thing is... I came up with: #Magic is the first name, but watch out for the Mêlée™ while trying to inspire police and SWAT.

2012-03-13 0208: Or maybe not... AVG scared me a good one. Silly uninstall program was busted copying EXEs and DLLs to the TEMP directory. Not a good move, AOL. However, this could be an innocent mistake, but I'm glad AVG caught them anyway. I have since moved my TEMP directory out of the Windows directory. Much safer, ya dimwit Bill. Why did you ever think temporary files were to bloat Windows until your hard disk dries up?

2012-03-12 1826: NEW VIRUS ALERT: AOL (America Online) Instant Messenger (AIM) Uninstaller is probably the cause. AVG Resident Shield screamed while the machine was uninstalling AIM:



After a clean boot and with nothing else running, I was tired of AIM wanting to launch my browser to BS every time I rebooted... Uninstalled it and it tried to leave me a gift.

Apparently, I haven't had much interesting to say for a while. I've been busy working in collaboration with 10gen, Inc. I built rmongodb in a few months and released it as open source. If you're interested in statistics, the combination of the R language, rmongodb, and MongoDB makes for a nice tool set.

If you experienced an event, you better believe that it did happen. Hopefully you can recall the Past to extract Knowledge and Wisdom from memories. This is called Learning and grants you the ability to deal with similar occasions better in the Future. Be wary though: abuse of the Mind, Body, and Soul can lead to contradictory thoughts because your senses might incorrectly interpret the outside World.
